“For a business to continue to grow, you need to keep brushing up on your skills. Our company offers a lot of training for our agents, but we also need to focus on growing our employees. I was excited to hear the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce was sponsoring a local seminar on Customer Service. As COO for CENTURY 21 ProLink, I know customer service is very important to client retention, so I am sending my front-line employee to this seminar. We need more opportunities to have programing like this in our backyard, so support this seminar today and sign up your employees.”

All donation items received by the X’s will be provided to the Salvation Army of Siouxland and distributed in conjunction with their annual Coats for Kids campaign.
To help spread the warmth, please stop by the Explorers’ winter offices located at 600 Stevens Port Drive, Ste 105 in Dakota Dunes, SD (between Tyson Foods Corporate office and Oral Surgery Associates) and donate a pair of mittens or a stocking hat and receive a pair of complimentary tickets for any 2014 Sioux City Explorers home game during the month of May.
“We are so excited once again that the Sioux City Explorers have partnered with the Salvation Army of Siouxland to help boys and girls in need this Holiday Season. The Explorers glove and hat drive will be a home run in making Christmas bright for many children throughout Siouxland,” comments The Salvation Army Corps officer Capt. Von R. Vandiver.

Where can you sample 30 types of beer, bid on unique auction items and visit with artists about their work? At the “Nature Calls” fundraiser, of course. The event is Saturday, September 14th at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The casual evening includes nature art, beer tasting, raffles, silent auction and live auction. Guests can sample 30 select brews and craft beers. This year is a true tasting, with separate tables of Oktoberfests, Stouts, IPAs, Ambers, and Wheat beers. There is an additional table of sweeter brews and alternatives to beer. And in honor of the 10th Anniversary there will be a special Mystery Beer Table—to be revealed the night of the event. Delicious food and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages will also be available throughout the evening.
“This event is casual and tons of fun. We have people looking forward to it every year because of the relaxed atmosphere and unique combination of artists, beers and auction items,” said Dawn Snyder, Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center Programs Director. “It is our tenth year for this fundraiser and we continue to be humbled by the generosity of our donors and local community support.” added Snyder. “Funds from past Nature Calls have been used for the Nature Center indoor exhibits, the Raptor House and the newly opened Discovery Forest Nature Playscape.”
This year’s Live Auction event includes a 42” VIZIO 3D TV; tickets to the Chiefs vs. Giants football game in Kansas City; a special 10th Anniversary Quilt featuring the animals from the past years; a trip to a vacation home in Wisconsin; fine jewelry; original artwork; beer novelties and many more wonderful items. In addition, more than 80 Silent Auction items have been donated for the event.
Advance tickets for “Nature Calls” are $30 and are on sale now by contacting the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center at 712-258-0838 or online at http://www.woodburyparks.com/naturecalls.html.
